![]() Thomas A. (Tom) Dickson attended the Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies and received his B.A. in 1976. He obtained his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1981. He was a law clerk to Associate Justice Vernon R. Pederson, North Dakota Supreme Court, from 1981-1982. Mr. Dickson has been in private practice since 1982. His focus is primarily criminal defense and plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. He is admitted to practice in North Dakota, the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, the United States District Court for the District of Arkansas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He is on the Board of Governors of the North Dakota Trial Lawyers Association and is a past president. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a member of the North Dakota Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., and State Bar Association of North Dakota. Mr. Dickson has written articles for the Pleader Magazine, Trial Magazine, and for the North Dakota Law Review. He has been a speaker at seminars sponsored by the State Bar Association of North Dakota, North Dakota Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and Minnesota Society for Criminal Justice. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
